During the course of the Phoenicia circumnavigation the
ship was fitted with a satellite tracker which transmitted the ships
position every 4 hours. This was a fantastic device, positioned near the top
of her mast, which enabled the Phoenicia office base, families of the crew,
supporters and school children to follow the progress of Phoenicia on a
daily basis.
