Welcome to the Phoenician Ship Expedition website. In 2008 - 2010 Phoenicia successfully recreated the first circumnavigation of Africa, accomplished by  Phoenician mariners in circa 600BC, in a replica Phoenician/Mediterranean vessel.

Phoenicia Exhibition - Staff Vacancies!

Phoenicia is now looking to recruit staff for her exhibition in London this summer.  Positions are available in:

  • Selling merchandise

  • Security

  • Exhibition co-ordination

  • Ticket sales

Phoenicia announces plans for London 2012
Plans have now been confirmed that Phoenicia will be spending this summer at the prestigious Saint Katharine Docks in London. Phoenicia will be open to the public with an exhibition, The Phoenicians: The Greatest Ancient Sailors. From June 2nd, Phoenicia will be transformed into a floating museum featuring ancient artifacts from the Phoenician era. To book your tickets click here.

Passage dates confirmed for voyage to London
In 2012 Phoenicia will sail from Sardinia to London to celebrate the ancient Phoenician trading link with Cornwall. Sailing dates:
Sardinia to Gibraltar 4th-16th April
Gibraltar to Falmouth 17th April-15th May
Falmouth to London 18th-28th May.
